God says You are Welcome

I have been saying thank you to God a lot lately.
Last night "God says you are welcome" with this beautiful sunset.
Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday.
It has been a very hard year and God has been good.
My son was living in Hawaii and they
found out he had cancer.
His brother saw him through 6 months of chemo and was
a great caregiver.
I was here praying for my son but unable to be with him.
God is good, he preserved my son for me.
John flew in from Hawaii yesterday and late yesterday we decided
to go to town to pick up some last minute things for Thanksgiving.
As we were traveling from home to Smithfield
we saw this
wonderful tribute
of God's goodness and mercy and grace.

My son John Boyette took this picture of a sunset in Johnston County
as we were driving to Smithfield.
What a miracle that statement is, that John is alive,

that he is here, that God is blessing us everyday
even when we don't see His sunsets.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thank you God for Fall and
the beauty of the earth which
you have created.

Thank you for friends and family
who you have greatly blessed
us with today.

Thank you for health and hope and peace
for joy and love.

Thank you for making all things
and for keeping all things
in Your Care.

Help us to be a blessing to those who we are near
and to pray for those who are far away.
Amen

Morning has Broken

The quiet of the predawn is broken only by the swoosh of wings and
the call of birds hunting for breakfast in formation just above
the water's surface.

The birds soar and boats enter the water courses adding their sounds together.

The sun rises in the sky now and life begins to quicken it's pace a bit.

Man began his course before the sun was above the horizon so that
they can meet in the water...the boat and the light.

The Sunrise kisses the boat with a wish of blessing as the boat passes
on it's way to a busy day of joy, with fishes to catch
and stories to build one fishy phrase at a time.

Nectar and Refreshment for the Seekers

Reflection: Butterflies and Flowers

God has provided nourishment and refreshment
for those who seek Him.

There is more than enough provision for the seekers.

The provision is just what is needed for each individual.

Stop and rest and find nourishment.

Take a closer look your needs will be met.

The Trees are Magnificent

Reflection : Trees

Strength to weather the storms.

Bending with the winds and prevailing in the face of
years of trial because of being rooted and grounded.

Providing shade and rest for the weary.

Spreading welcoming branches to one and all.

Limbs reaching up as if to praise the Lord and laying down a shadow that
is controlled by the light and moves with the light. The shadow does not control the
light, it is the light which controls the shadow.
